Who is this caregiving community?
Our simple answer is, if you care ABOUT someone or give care TO someone, you are part of the community. Of course, some of us, whether we like it or not, require more care than others. Health issues and aging are just a couple of the reasons that we might find ourselves in need of a little extra care.
What does creating innovative technical solutions mean?
We could spend our time talking about three decades of architecting and developing robust server infrastructure as well as engaging web and mobile applications. Yawn. Everyone talks about their design and development practices. We really just want to say that we believe technology is a tool that we use to try to make everyone’s life a little easier.
Some of our favorite tools right now are:
Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning
- Spot less obvious care options
- Improve efficiency thereby allowing doctors and caregivers more time to spend with people
Augmented Reality
- Share visuals and data between remotely-located experts and onsite workers to reduce costs and delays in care collaboration
Learning Systems
- Train both paid and unpaid caregivers to reduce caregiver stress and improve health outcomes for care recipients
- Gather data to further research as well as train AI systems
What care issues are we trying to address?
- Promoting and maintaining independence for care recipient
- Taking control of your own care
- Promoting better communication with care network
- Making communication with care network more convenient
- Making care data more secure
- Making remote participation in caregiving more convenient
- Easing the stress of caregiving
